One-Stop Vacation Castle Hotel (Beijing)
Visit the auto show at the National Exhibition during the May Day holiday, and find a hotel nearby to stay for a night
The location is a bit remote, but it's not too far from the airport, close to the Chaobai River, surrounded by farmland and green belts. The hotel offers a complete range of dining, entertainment, and leisure facilities, so you can just enjoy yourself inside
The hotel is designed in a European castle style, with a grand lobby that is roughly ten meters in height. The room decor is relatively elegant, not overly luxurious, but the space is quite large.
The hardware facilities are quite comprehensive, including hot springs, a gym, a swimming pool, a naughty castle, restaurants, and conference rooms, offering one-stop services for vacation leisure or meetings and weddings without the need to go out. However, having been open for nearly ten years, many details have fallen behind the times and appear somewhat outdated. For example, there are no smart or automated devices in the rooms, not even a master switch, so you have to turn off each light individually before bed, which is manageable since there aren't many lights
The scale of the hot springs is decent, and although it may not compare to some of the more popular professional hot spring hotels in the northeast, it's still quite good; the naughty castle is not very big, but it has all the basic equipment and some electric toys. Interestingly, all the attractions have clear prices posted at the entrance, but we went twice and never saw anyone collecting fees ; the gym is spacious with a full range of equipment, and it's open all day
The hotel was previously known as Xinhualian Lijing Hotel, and now it seems to be operated under the Howard Johnson brand of the Wyndham Group. The service and hygiene are standard, matching the level of this price range. The variety and quality of breakfast are quite average, just passable.
As for the price, during the May Day period, the price for two adults and one child including breakfast and hot springs is 799. The so-called 'small' refers to children under 1.2 meters, children between 1.2-1.5 meters are charged 58 for breakfast and 69 for hot springs, and those over 1.5 meters are charged the adult price of 88 for breakfast and 138 for hot springs. After some discussion, we booked three rooms, and the complimentary child's breakfast height limit was raised to 1.5 meters, but the hot springs remained at 1.2 meters
During non-holiday periods, the price for the above standards should be around five hundred.
Overall, the cost-performance ratio is still acceptable. After all, the most basic budget hotels in the capital's city area hardly go below 300 on a regular day, and even a Hanting hotel near the South Station without a window costs over 500 on non-holidays, so this place is considered to have a conscience price
