The Grand Canal Heritage Hall and the Grand Canal Porcelain Hall are particularly interesting. 2️⃣Kouzi Liquor Culture Museum: This is a Baijiu (white liquor)-themed museum where you can learn about Baijiu culture and its development. 3️⃣Pomegranate Museum: This is the first pomegranate-themed museum in China. Located in Liushan District's Liuyuan Village, the museum is built on a mountainside in a typical Han and Tang dynasty palace style. Seen from the foot of the mountain, it looks very dignified and elegant. 4️⃣Nanshan Scenic Area: The scenic area has beautiful scenery and a Han Culture Museum. It is a comprehensive museum that mainly displays Han culture and reflects the history and culture of Duji District. The mountain range resembles a giant dragon lying down and stretching towards the ancient Huaxue Lake, so locals also call it "Lao Longji" (Old Dragon Ridge). 6️⃣Lvjin Lake: Huaibei Lvjin Lake Central Park is the largest artificial inner lake in a city center nationwide. It was originally a wetland park formed by coal mining subsidence. Now, after renovation, it has become Huaibei's central park. 7️⃣Qianlong Lake: Qianlong Lake Scenic Area is an important part of Huaibei's central lake ecological landscape belt. Freshly slaughtered free-range chicken is slow-cooked in a large wood-fired pot with spring onions, ginger, star anise, cinnamon, and other spices. Before serving, thin pancakes are pasted around the edge of the pot, which are also very delicious. 2️⃣Linhuan Horseshoe-shaped Biscuits: Linhuan biscuits are golden brown, crispy, and delicious. They are a perfect match with mutton soup. - 📒Travel tips: Huaibei does not have an airport. The nearest airport is Xuzhou Guanyin Airport. After landing, it takes about 1.5 hrs to reach Huaibei. Huaibei now has high-speed rail, so transportation is relatively convenient.

1. The Han Dynasty stone reliefs in Huaibei Museum are exquisite. My personal favorite is the second picture, which depicts a flying feathered man guiding a white tiger. The feathered man is elegant and lifelike, like an angel descending from heaven, showcasing the romanticism of the ancients. 2. Jade burial suit with copper thread. This artifact was unearthed from the Shuanglongzi Han Tomb. In the Han Dynasty, jade was highly valued, and it was believed that wrapping the body in jade after death could preserve the bones. The emperor used jade burial suits with gold thread, nobles, princes, and princesses used jade burial suits with silver thread, and high-ranking nobles and grand princesses used jade burial suits with copper thread. The so-called "gold thread" and "copper thread" refer to the material of the thread used to string the jade pieces together. 3. Boshan incense burner, also unearthed from the Shuanglongzi Han Tomb. Boshan incense burners can be seen in most museums in China, but the one in Huaibei is particularly captivating. Boshan is a mythical mountain in ancient legends. The lid of the Boshan incense burner is hollowed out and undulating, resembling a misty mountain range, hence the name. 4. Porcelain. The top recommendation is the Cizhou kiln white-glazed black flower jar. The black and white contrast is harmonious. Although Cizhou kiln porcelain is not as stunning as Yue kiln porcelain, it always gives a sense of simplicity with a touch of nobility. The Gongxian kiln tri-colored lion hugging a pillar is the cutest lion I've ever seen. The Jingdezhen kiln shadow green-glazed child hugging a ball is small and exquisite, reflecting the stable and prosperous society of the Song Dynasty, where children could play freely. The Cizhou kiln pillow with a poem inscribed on it features the famous lines of the banished immortal, "Willow leaves are golden, pear blossoms are white as snow," showcasing the elegance of ancient times. (There are too many exquisite porcelains unearthed from the Sui and Tang Dynasties Grand Canal site, so I won't describe them in detail.) 5. Sui and Tang Dynasties Grand Canal style relief. The relief tells the story of the bustling scene of ancient Xiangcheng, where merchants gathered from north and south, which is very spectacular. In addition, the relief depicting Emperor Yang of Sui touring the south on a dragon boat is even more worth seeing. Although this eternal sage king's contribution to the canal is significant, it is still important to see the countless boatmen pulling the emperor's boat, highlighting the stark contrast between the two.

Huaibei Museum, also known as the Grand Canal Museum of the Sui and Tang Dynasties, is located at No. 1 Museum Road, Xiangshan District, Huaibei City, Anhui Province.
