Accommodation in Xitang, Jiashan | Huazhu•Xitang Demaotang Hotel
This spring, one must make a trip to Jiangnan, right?
As one of the six major Jiangnan water towns in China, Xitang
is the place I want to recommend to everyone this time.
Compared to other ancient towns,
this place has retained its original residents, giving it a more authentic atmosphere of daily life.

This time, I stayed at a hotel that is great in terms of environment, location, and facilities.

⭐️Hotel environment
The hotel is decorated in a Shanghai Republic of China style, very retro and grand, making guests feel welcomed upon entering. The hotel is small and exquisite, with an open-air Chinese courtyard by the water, where guests can make tea and chat in the teahouse. There are also a few cats raised by the owner in the lobby, which are very cute💗
.
⭐️Hotel service
The hotel is managed by a couple, the owner's cooking skills are excellent, running a private kitchen that requires advance reservation. The lady owner is also very enthusiastic and kind, not only helping us find a parking spot but also introducing us to the tourist strategies of Xitang.
.
⭐️Hotel rooms
The hotel doesn't have many rooms, only eight, and each room is reserved with plenty of space. Each room has a different layout, and the top-floor rooms even have cute skylights (with automatic curtains), where you can see the stars at night if the weather is good. The balcony is also large, and on sunny days, you can sit outside to bask in the sun and enjoy the view of the small bridges and flowing water.
The rooms are also equipped with soft water, drinking water, and smart toilets. It is worth mentioning that the mattresses are super comfortable and conducive to a good night's sleep.
.
⭐️Hotel surroundings
The hotel is located outside the Xitang scenic area, only a 10-minute walk to Tangdong Street (bar street) and a 3-5 minute walk to West Street (snack street). It's quiet amidst the hustle and bustle, allowing you to appreciate the unique charm of the ancient town up close, and it's very convenient for eating, drinking, and entertainment.
