As I boarded the wooden boat, I felt a sense of excitement and tranquility. The gentle lapping of the water against the shore and the majestic mountains towering above created a sense of serenity. As we glided across the turquoise waters, I marveled at the lake's beauty from a new perspective. The boat ride offered stunning views of the surrounding landscape, and I even spotted a few fish swimming in the crystal-clear waters. The experience was truly unforgettable, and I left with memories to last a lifetime.

Hunza in northern Pakistan is popular among some as a place reminiscent of the Valley of the Wind where Nausicaa and her friends live in the timeless Ghibli masterpiece "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind". Hunza is located at an altitude of about 2400m. K2 (8,611m above sea level), which is said to be more difficult than Everest, It is surrounded by mountainous areas with the towering Karakoram Range at an altitude of 7,000m, and the Karakoram Mountains at 1,000m above sea level. From any lodging, you can see the snowy mountain ranges that you would want to put in a picture frame. Hunza Valley is basically a desolate mountainous area, but in fact, from late March to early April, it is transformed into a utopia where peaches, apricots, almonds and other flowers bloom in abundance. I visited the valley hoping to see the best time to see them, but unfortunately, when I visited in 2018, the flowers seemed to have bloomed a little early, and the best time to see them had passed... Nevertheless, the view of the towering poplar trees and peach blossoms, and the Karakoram Mountains in the background, was breathtaking. The wind was always blowing through the valley, and it really felt like a real "Valley of the Winds"! By the way, in Hunza, there is an elementary school called "Hasegawa Memorial School" built by the family of the late Tsuneo Hasegawa, a famous Japanese mountaineer, and it is a prestigious school in Pakistan. Thanks to their achievements and because Suzuki light trucks are famous, Japanese people are treated with a lot of envy and respect in Pakistan. Also, Hunza has one of the safest security in Pakistan, so it was fine to go out at night! It is also said to be a relaxed sect of Islam, and women have a high status, so women sometimes do not wear scarves such as hijabs. Regardless of the security, the road to arrive is difficult, and even a direct bus from the capital Islamabad takes a whole day. Pakistan was a place I never thought I would visit. Initially, I told two or three people about my trip, but I soon realized it was exhausting to explain the difference between Pakistan and Palestine. So, in the end, I just said I was going to South Asia (which led to a three-second silence, possibly because they thought it was silly to ask where South Asia is, as I would say it's in the southern part of the Asian continent). Interestingly, my Korean friends were clear about the difference, probably because the Korean words for Pakistan (파키스탄) and Palestine (팔레스타인) are quite different, so there's no confusion. Before going, I had many stereotypes from the news media about this place. As Murad said, most people have negative impressions of Pakistan due to the media, but after visiting, I discovered many charming aspects of the country. Upon returning, I told my friends and family that Pakistan was different from what I had imagined; it was truly a surprising place. However, the north and south are very different (luckily, I figured this out before leaving). I loved their simple and genuine nature. It felt like they were doing their best to provide us with the best things within their existing resources and environment. Unfortunately, it seemed they lacked strategic planners. Not to brag, but I genuinely felt that my intelligence could get me into Harvard in the northern part of the country. Besides the unexpectedly beautiful scenery, I loved the local children. They were adorable when they were young, but as they grew older, they became less so. I'm not sure if it's because they rarely see foreigners or if we were just that charming, but we felt like celebrities there. Even when my sister was buying her favorite car, people would come over to ask for photos. It's a great place for introverts to visit, as you'll feel like a Pakistani BLACKPINK and become an extrovert. Sometimes, they would ask us to take their photos, but they never asked for the pictures afterward. It seemed they enjoyed the idea of their image being on your phone, or maybe they enjoyed feeling like Pakistani BLACKPINK. Overall, most of the children were adorable, except for the last day at the mosque when I didn't like how some kids asked for money by pulling on my jacket sleeve instead of asking verbally. I found my sleeve very dirty afterward. Other than that, it was mostly happy memories. Regarding the food, many people asked if I could get used to it. Since I never bring Taiwanese instant noodles or snacks when I travel, I found it okay (I think Naan is delicious, better than Chapati). This trip also confirmed that my stomach is quite strong, thanks to LACOFIT probiotics. I must recommend the local snacks; they are incredibly cheap. I bought a whole box as souvenirs without feeling guilty. We bought a large bag for just a few Taiwanese dollars, which wouldn't even buy a single oyster omelet in Taiwan. I recommend buying RIO; the internet's suggestion that it's a must-buy in Pakistan is trustworthy. Slowly uploading my travel records...

The Hunza Valley in Pakistan has beautiful autumn colors. It is located next to the China-Pakistan Friendship Highway, about 1.5 hours' drive from the Pakistani port of Sust. It has convenient transportation and can be reached by chartered car or bus at a reasonable price. It is said to be the prototype of Hayao Miyazaki's "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" and is a famous longevity town and tourist destination in Pakistan. Old Hunza Inn, a favorite homestay for Chinese backpackers, is located halfway up the mountain in Aliabad. It can be reached on foot or by local bus. The scenery is first-class. Across the mountain is the world's 27th peak, Rakaposhi (7,788 meters 27th). It was just cloudy when I went there, so I didn't take any pictures. The atmosphere in the guesthouse and restaurant of the B&B is quite comfortable and full of relaxation. The rooftop terrace is also nice, where you can sunbathe and enjoy the scenery. The owner, Leo (Chinese name Gaoyuan), has lived in China for some time and knows a little Chinese, so communication is relatively easy. It is also relatively easy to meet Chinese backpackers here, making it an ideal place to stay when staying in Hunza. You can negotiate the price with the boss. It seems that the boss is quite friendly to Chinese people. During our stay, he invited us to drink tea and picked a lot of apples in the yard to eat. This place is not far from the old palace of Hunza, just a short walk up the mountain. The partners in the B&B are also very nice. When I returned to China, the boss's brother personally drove me to the port. He rented a car for RMB 200. The last few pictures show the B&B and the owner himself. The hotel itself is not on the main road, but if you can't find the place, just ask the locals on the road and they will know where it is. The locals are very friendly.

Hotel/Glamp : Hunza Glamping Resort Location: Karimabad,Hunza,Pakistan Glamping is getting more and more popular around the world, and I was very happy to have my first glamping experience in Hunza Pakistan. Although the location of the glamp is not very convenient, there are no shops around but… you get peace. The glamp is out of all the crowd and people. Its located slightly away from the city so that you can enjoy some peaceful time and the lovely fresh air. For food, although there are no restaurants around, The resort has its own restaurant so you don’t have to worry about it! Talking about the room, the bed itself is very comfortable, it’s large enough, just like staying in a huge tent, giving you the camping experience. Unfortunately the lights were a bit dim during the night, I believe the owners would add brighter lights. What I also really like about my stay here is I was very warmly welcomed by the staff. They are very kind and helpful. That is very important in the hospitality industry. I definitely enjoyed my stay here. #freehotelstay
