From the station towards the town area requires around 10 mins walk, you may head for light lunch at k.u.k. Hofbäckerei Café to try their delicious homemade pastry and bakery. After the break, you may head to Linzer Mariendom, the largest church in Austria with beautiful stained glass windows since 1900s which worth the visit. Proceed to Linz castle upwards hillslope where it is home to the Upper Austrian provincial Museum. You will need at least an hour and half to complete the exhibits. Near to the ticketing office, you will find panoramic city view which not to be missed. After complete the museum trip, head to Römerberg to enjoy the scenic spot of Danube downstream and Pöstlingberg opposite. Take a coffee break at Café Traxlmayr and try Austria cappuccino called “Kapuziner, they have elegant interior and place is spacious with beautiful outdoor garden for fine weather. This sums up the perfect day trip and head back to Vienna.
