I love the festive mood at ikea, it is amazing and the christmasy feeling is there. Everything is in Christmas colours like red, green and gold and if you are planning for a Christmas party, this is the perfect place to shop for all your Christmas gifts, decorations, gift wrappers, etc. For Christmas gifts, you can find items like toy trains in the children's section, candle sets and even chocolates and Christmas cookies and log cakes at the ikea food market. For gift wrappers, you can see the standard plain designs and then they have cute santa and reindeer designs. For decorations, you can find Christmas wreaths of different sizes and baubles of different shapes and colours. There's even beautiful Christmas trees sold there, both live and fake Christmas trees. There are also DIY gingerbread house kits sold at ikea, perfect as a Christmas activity with the kids. Happy Christmas shopping at ikea! #tripblazers

Ikea is not just a Swedish furniture shop. People flock there for it's cafe food, it's Swedish food market and even a kids club. Recently, the smales kids club is back, it offers ikea membership to kids and they get privileges when kids visit ikea. Membership is free but remember to bring your child's birth certificate for registration. As a member, your child gets to accumulate points to exchange for items and get meal vouchers. They also get to play in the club's play area filled with a ball pit, a TV area and an activity zone. Parents can leave their kids in the play zone while they shop at ikea. I love this idea! And food at ikea is always good, I love their meatballs and chicken wings, while the kids love their cute sea animals red bean paus which ikea is selling now. The concept of the restaurant is “self service”. you will push a trolley with tray and request food you want. After order and receive the food you may push the trolly for payment and find yourself a seat. The restaurant is huge with lot of seat. it may be a Swedish brand but their chicken wing and curry puff is one the local favourites. There is also a counter that serve halal food which is s a plus point for our Muslim friend.
