TA XUA – LOST IN THE SEA OF CLOUDS
I just had a 2-day-1-night trip to Ta Xua, stayed at Cloudforest Homestay and really didn't want to go back. If you need to "reset" your energy, want to find a quiet, cool, dreamy place, Ta Xua is a worthy choice.
We took a car from Hanoi, departing early in the morning to get there in time to watch the sunset. The road was quite good, only the section near Ta Xua was a bit winding but the car was still ok. It took about 5-6 hours including breaks along the way. If you get carsick, remember to prepare medicine.
The place I stayed at was Homestay Cloudforest, the room type was Wind, quite spacious and comfortable with 3 beds and a large bathtub. The big plus was the extremely beautiful view of the sea of clouds, waking up in the morning and being able to hunt for floating clouds right before your eyes. The homestay is located in the center, so there are many cafes around to gather, very convenient for groups of friends.
The food in Ta Xua is delicious and reasonably priced. I tried many specialties here such as stream fish, bamboo rice... all very fresh and flavorful. I feel the dining space is very comfortable, the price is reasonable, not too expensive like many other places. Regarding the cost, my group of 5 people spent about 2 million VND/person for the whole trip.
Ta Xua is an ideal destination for a short trip, especially when traveling with friends. Homestay Cloudforest has a comfortable space, good service and is very convenient. I will definitely come back if I have the chance.
