I've been to Dali countless times, but this time I stayed at this guesthouse in Zhoucheng, Xizhou, and it was amazing! Located on the mountainside, the pure white courtyard faces Erhai Lake. You can watch the sunrise over Erhai Lake in the morning, the fishing lights on Erhai Lake in the evening, and the stars at night. Every corner of the public area is beautifully designed. A window or a pot of plants is pleasing to the eye. The room is large and clean, and the bathroom is new. The front and back yards are very spacious, the flowers and plants are well taken care of, and the lawn is green. Children can run around. Food The guesthouse provides breakfast. The Yunnan rice noodles made by the Bai grandmother are delicious. If you want to eat in the restaurant, the food will be delivered from the town. The local dishes are very authentic and the portions are huge. Our family of four ordered five dishes and couldn't finish them. I recommend the roasted milk fan and honeycomb corn. They're delicious! Because it's on the mountainside of Zhoucheng, there's not much entertainment at night. You can go to the town and stroll around. The barbecue stalls are delicious. If you're a foodie like me, I recommend taking a taxi to Xuji Spicy Crab, 3 km away. It's a barbecue restaurant that locals love. It's definitely the best food I've had in Dali! Activities The guesthouse is a 5-minute walk from Zhoucheng. The town is full of tie-dye experience centers. The famous Puzhen Tie-dye Museum is free to visit. In some small tie-dye shops, you can make a tie-dye handkerchief for CNY 30. It's only a 15-minute drive from Xizhou Ancient Town, Keli Zhuang Wheat Field, and Erhai Corridor. You can take your children to Xizhou Ancient Town to experience pottery and rubbing, and enjoy the food. Transportation Although it's on the mountain, it's easy to get a taxi. After looking for a long time on the Internet, we saw a place in the mountains that caught our eye. We went there immediately and saw that there was a room available. It is located halfway up the mountain in a village 15 minutes' drive from Xizhou, so it is also very quiet and not disturbed by the crowd. You need to drive to travel.
