Ine is a fishing village. It is a small town in the north of Kyoto. There are wooden houses along the sea. You can ride a bicycle around the town or take a boat around the town. The nature of this town is quite complete. Since there are not many tourists in winter, it is more suitable for couples than groups of friends. You can take the train from Amanohashidate Station, which takes about 3 hours. It is quiet and sparsely populated, which is in sharp contrast to the prosperity of Kyoto city. It is the most unforgettable place for me on this trip. This time I rented a car and drove from Kyoto to Amanohashidate, and then to Ine. We arrived in Ine around 2pm. Almost all the shops on the road were closed (or had already been closed). There were very few tourists, and there was almost no one to ask for directions. Get on the sightseeing boat on time, and you can enjoy the view of the houseboat in the middle of the sea, accompanied by seagulls and eagles. After the ride, you can walk to the observation deck above and overlook the entire town of Egan. There is no noise and traffic, but instead the sound of birds and a few boatmen. Egan, located in the northeastern part of the Tanjung Peninsula in Kyoto, is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in Japan. It used to be a fishery, and the local houseboats (Funaya House) built on the back of the mountain are a major feature. is said to have been built in the Edo period. Rows are all along the beach, backed by the forest, and looking far away is like floating on the water. The first floor of the houseboat is a semi-opened boathouse, which is connected to the harbour. It is usually used as a parking place for fishing boats. It is also used for fishing gear or drying and catching dry goods. The second floor of the houseboat is Family living room. This kind of building structure can not help but think of the famous water city of Venice, but always with a strong Japanese style and original style. The current houseboats are about 230 or so, because this fishing port town has been included in the Important Traditional Building Group Protection Area and is protected by law. It is not allowed to be easily demolished and rebuilt, so many houseboats are now It has been transformed into a hotel, a canteen, developing tourism and attracting more tourists. We can rent a boat to see around the bay for about 30 minutes. Adults are 1,000 yen and children are 500 yen. 🛥️ And buy shrimp crackers to feed the seagulls flying around the bay. The seagulls will fly right to our hands. We can get really close. We can get a lot of pictures and content. But we didn't go up because it was raining when we went. 😭🌧️ 🚲🚲And I intended to rent a bike to ride around but I didn't do it.
