“Castle in Bloom: Cherry Blossoms and History at Inohana Park”
#cherryblossom25
Inohana Park (亥鼻公園), located in Chiba City, Japan, is a beautiful and culturally rich location known for its cherry blossoms in spring. The park is built on the site of the historic Inohana Castle (also called Chiba Castle), which adds a picturesque and historical element to the scenery.
Cherry Blossoms at Inohana Park
Inohana Park is home to around 100 cherry trees, mainly Somei Yoshino variety, which typically bloom from late March to early April. When in full bloom, the park becomes a local favorite for hanami (flower viewing) picnics, offering serene views of sakura surrounding the reconstructed Chiba Castle. The contrast of white-pink blossoms against the traditional Japanese architecture creates a stunning visual.
At night during the peak season, the park is illuminated, allowing visitors to enjoy yozakura (night sakura) in a quiet, romantic setting. The elevation of the park also offers a nice view over Chiba City.
Other Highlights:
Chiba Castle Museum: Inside the reconstructed keep, you’ll find exhibits about the history of Chiba Prefecture.
Peaceful Atmosphere: Less crowded than Tokyo hotspots, perfect for relaxed cherry blossom viewing.
