The "Setouchi International Art Festival" has been held every three years since 2010, surrounded by the beautiful blue ocean. The sixth edition in 2025 will showcase the unique creations of hundreds of artists and art groups from around the world on the islands scattered across Kagawa Prefecture, Okayama Prefecture, and the Seto Inland Sea. The festival was born out of a desire to preserve the rich history and cultural heritage of this sea area. Once a bridge for cultural exchange, the Seto Inland Sea's islands have developed a unique charm through their interactions. However, globalization has brought challenges such as industrial changes, population decline, aging, and vacant houses.
