[2025 Cape Winelands Stay] Travel Guide for Inverdoorn Game Reserve Lodge (Updated May)

We visited the Inverdoorn Game Lodge, located 3 hours outside of Cape Town. The property is small but offers lovely rooms and mini chalets for guests. The rooms was comfortable and exactly what we needed. The food is cooked daily and offers a variety of food that represents the various cultural and ethnic groups of the Western Cape. The highlight of our trip we’re the game drives in the morning and evenings. We were able to see cheetahs, lions, elephants, rhinos, springbok, and so much more. Many of these animals are in the process of being rehabilitated for release into the wile. Conservation and respect for nature is a core tenant to this wonderful lodge. Our game driver, Kevin, was the highlight for us. He was super knowledgeable about the animals and shared many insights into the conservation process. #safari #Inverdoorn #westerncape

🧹Soundproofing/Hygiene: The hotel is located in a very primitive wildlife sanctuary. Initially, I had no expectations for the hotel's conditions, but the facilities are actually on par with five-star hotels; 🏘️️️Room Type/Layout: I stayed in a suite with a small garden at the entrance and a pool exclusive to the suite area, offering a view of the distant mountains. There are also sofa seats on the roof of the room. Sitting here and looking down, the pool blends seamlessly with the distant natural scenery, creating a truly beautiful picture; 🛌Supplies/Facilities: The bedding in the room is very comfortable, equipped with a bathtub and double sinks. Having hot bath water in such a remote place is definitely a great experience after coming back from watching animals; 💰️Per Capita Consumption: This room type seems to be called the Commander Suite. The per capita consumption varies slightly depending on the activities chosen, generally around 1000 per person; 💗Other Tips: The temperature difference between morning and evening is quite large, so it is recommended to bring a light down jacket and some items to prevent mosquito bites. If you have a telephoto camera, be sure to bring it, and a wide-angle lens is also very useful because you can see beautiful starry skies at night; We will continue to share in the next post.
