Malaysia's pure wooden palace | The small town of Kuala Pilah.
| The small town of Kuala Pilah. [Introduction]: Kuala Pilah is located in the central part of Negeri Sembilan, about 80 kilometers away from Kuala Lumpur. It is a small town surrounded by green mountains and has the reputation of "Spiritual Mountain Wonderland".
The Istana Senang is influenced by the Minangkabau culture, which can be seen in its village houses and official buildings. The Minangkabau people migrated here from Sumatra across the Strait of Malacca several centuries ago.
The Minangkabau people in Negeri Sembilan still retain the traditional matriarchal society custom called ADAT PERPATEH, making it the only state in Malaysia that still retains this custom.
