[Shizuoka] Izu Marriott Shuzenji: Enjoy the hot springs in a room with an open-air bath, dinner and breakfast included
I stayed at the Izu Marriott Shuzenji Hotel with my wife, who loves hot springs.
In this post, I will introduce the Izu Marriott Shuzenji and our stay.
As its name suggests, the Izu Marriott Shuzenji is a hotel located in Shuzenji on the Izu Peninsula.
It is located a little way up the mountains, so it is recommended for those who want to go to tourist spots during the day but stay at a quiet hotel, those who want to relax and enjoy the hot springs (and hot spring pool) and rock baths in the hotel, and those who want to enjoy sports such as tennis and golf and hot springs in a green environment.
It is a little over 10 minutes by car from Shuzenji Onsen town, so it is difficult to recommend it to those who want to stay in the hot spring town and walk around in a yukata, but there is a free shuttle bus that runs once an hour, so you can also take a stroll around the hot spring town.
◆ Deluxe twin room with open-air hot spring bath
This is the deluxe room with open-air hot spring bath that we stayed in this time.
Amenities included a hair dryer, scale, toothbrush, razor, comb, and body sponge at the sink,
and nightwear (yukata), slippers, hot spring pouches, and plastic bags for laundry service on the shelf below the open closet.
On the shelf next to the open-air bath were two complimentary mineral water bottles, coffee, black tea, and green tea, cups, an electric kettle, a safe, and a refrigerator.
The refrigerator was empty, so it seemed like it would be useful for cooling drinks you brought with you.
◆Large public bath and hot spring pool◆
Izu Marriott Shuzenji has a large public bath and a hot spring pool.
The large public bath is simple and does not have an open-air bath. (If I had to be greedy, I would have liked an open-air bath.)
This time, the room had an open-air bath, so I only used the large public bath for a little while.
The hot spring pool is located between the large public baths for men and women, and can be accessed from the changing room.
Please be careful not to accidentally go into the pool completely naked when you are planning to take a bath.
The pool zone also had a sauna room.
◆Fitness center and other facilities◆
The hotel also had other facilities such as a fitness center and a kids' room.
The attached Laforet Resort also has a golf course and tennis courts.
◆Dinner and breakfast◆
For this stay, I booked a plan that included breakfast and semi-buffet dinner, and both were served at Grill & Dining G on the second floor of the hotel.
At the semi-buffet dinner at Izu Marriott Shuzenji Grill & Dining G, you can enjoy dishes that use plenty of local ingredients.
You order only the main dish at the beginning, and appetizers and desserts are served buffet style.
At the buffet breakfast, you check the egg dishes you want on the order form and hand it to the staff, who will deliver it to your table.
The fresh juices and smoothies come in small cups, so it was fun to be able to drink a variety of them.
