Up to Deokjubong
#summervacay Took on Jangboksan and made it all the way up to Deokjubong Peak, what a fun little adventure! The trail starts off nice and foresty, with that fresh mountain air and soft dirt path underfoot. It’s got that quiet, hidden gem vibe going on, not a ton of people, which made it feel like my own personal escape for the day.
The climb has a couple of steep-ish parts, especially as you get closer to Deokjubong, but it’s nothing too wild. Just enough to get your heart going. And once you reach the top? Whoa. Killer 360 views—layers of mountains, city way off in the distance, and skies that just go on forever. There’s a rocky outcrop up there that makes for the perfect break spot too.
Honestly, this one flew under the radar for me, but now it’s going on my “would hike again” list. Quiet trails, solid workout, and those wide-open peak vibes? Yes, please.
