With irrigation systems dating back to centuries ago, every plot of land no matter how high or low they are on the mountain receive the same amount of water to grow their crops. What you can expect here is the tranquility of a simple farmers life, with cafes and warung to relax and enjoy your meal beside the glorious view. There's a public toilet and ammenities, best to arrive by car.

You will never find more beautiful rice fields and terraces in huge numbers anywhere else in the world than what you will find here at Jatiulwih. The distance is vast, and the near-seeking is nowhere to have a delicate little view. It is worth spending half a day exploring. 5/ There is a place to eat in the scenic area, but it is very expensive to see the meal here in the Raiders, so we did not choose to eat, but to eat at the small shop on the way to go. On the way to the scenic spot, you can pay more attention to the place where you can eat on the roadside. There are many restaurants with terraced landscapes. It is really superb to enjoy the scenery while eating. 6/ If you want to take photos in the field, remember to keep your feet safe. #indonesiatrip Great place, so serene, peaceful and green. The hiking trails are well prepared. Take at least the orange route, if you have time then the white - it's not all the same same, you will see different things. The times are well exaggerated on the plan, although it depends on how fast you walk and how many times you stop for pictures :-). The white route is 5.5km but a bit of up and down, and it IS hot. You can get a coconut on the way (20k IRP), great if you're thirsty. The entrance to the area is I think 50k, parking costs too. The rice fields are beautiful, though, highly recommended.

Many people come to Bali and miss the scenery hidden in the jungle, which is Ubud. In Ubud, the terraced landscape is the livelihood of the locals, the traditional culture reflects their life, and this tree with more than 700 years of age bears witness to their faith. I like Ubud, it gives more meaning to coming to Bali than just a holiday. Leisure, religion, scenery, culture, primitive, mystery... A variety of unrelated and unequal vocabulary are mixed together here. After this slow travel in Indonesia, Ubud has directly become one of my favorite places. Its situation is complicated, the European and American tourists on the streets are almost more than the natives, yet it still maintains a feeling that won't let you forget you are in Southeast Asia. Hmm, I will go again next time. It is recommended to shoot at sunrise, around 5-6 in the morning, to capture the stunning Tyndall light.

The rice terraces are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and they showcase the traditional Balinese irrigation system called Subak, which has been used for centuries to cultivate rice in harmony with nature. I learned a lot about the history and culture of Jatiluwih from the friendly local guides who explained the different stages of rice farming and the rituals associated with it. I also enjoyed walking along the paved paths that wind through the rice fields, offering different views and perspectives of this natural wonder. There are several cafes and restaurants near the entrance where you can enjoy a delicious meal or a refreshing drink while admiring the scenery. Jatiluwih Rice Terraces are definitely one of the best attractions in Bali and I highly recommend visiting them if you want to experience the authentic and peaceful side of the island. Depending on the date you visit, the landscape changes a lot, I was unlucky to visit it when all the rice from all the fields had been harvested. Even so, I loved the place, there are several very well-defined itineraries to walk through the different cultivation terraces depending on the time one has. This Rice Terrace is very photogenic and well worth the visit. The Jatiluwih rice terraces in north Bali are an oasis of beautiful greenery, peace, and countryside serenity. Yes, there are tourists, but unlike the hoards that descend on the rice terraces in Ubud to go on the swings and nests for Instagram likes, in Jatiluwih there is enough space for people to walk and bike while surrounded by the lush terrace fields and no gimmicky distractions. As must! It is unreal. Word heritage site and very peaceful. We did about 2 hours trekking, mostly flat ground. Quite muddy after the rain. You can rent bicycles too (if it’s sunny)! Entrance fee is about $2-3 pp. there are coffee shops and stuff too if you just want to take in the view without the walking. #newyearadventure
