Olle Trail Course 17: Dodubong
Dodubong on Olle Trail Course 17 has started to shed leaves from the trees scattered around. Visiting a bit earlier might have offered a more picturesque view, leaving a slight sense of regret. In front of Dodubong lies Jangansa Temple, which was originally established in 1950 at a place called Beopgiam. In 1973, Monk Bongwol took charge, and in 1999, it was registered under the Daehan Ilbung Seongyojong sect. Currently, it operates under its present name, as designated by Monk Beopdam. On the way to the top of Dodubong via the Rainbow Coastal Road, there is a park used by local residents for exercise. The park is equipped with various workout machines and exudes a strong autumnal atmosphere. From the area with exercise equipment, a 2-3 minute climb up the stairs leads to the summit of Dodubong on Jeju Olle Trail Course 17. At the summit, visitors can see planes taking off from Jeju Airport's runway and get a close view of the Dream Tower building. Additionally, there is the mentioned "Kisses Zone" photo spot. From Dodubong on Jeju Olle Trail Course 17, visitors can enjoy a close view of Jeju's tallest building, the Dream Tower Grand Hyatt Jeju Hotel, as well as watch planes take off and land at the nearby Jeju Airport runway. This spot captivates both children and adults alike. The path descending from Dodubong near Jeju Iho Tewoo Beach towards the Rainbow Coastal Road is covered with fallen leaves, creating a full autumn vibe. The decked trail ensures safety, making it a great destination for people of all ages to visit and enjoy.
