Short snippet review of my 3 nights here! ❤️ The property is thankfully well maintained since my last visit in 2019 and the twin room was adequate space for 2pax with big luggage which came in handy🙈 First Jen experience as a Jade member and was pleasantly surprised by a generous set of belated birthday amenities AND accordance of club access! YAY 🔥 Gym was spacious and had rowers which worked well for me every morning. Location was not too bad with 1st Avenue Mall beside and a short grab ride away from Gurney area 🚕 Had already done a full review of this property pre COVID so will skip a blog post this time but I certainly got tremendous value for my stay and would recommend this in a heartbeat even without the frills 🍀

The lobby area is spacious and there are plenty of comfortable sofa seating around. You can have a drink at Lobby Lounge or food at Cafe Jen. A 28 meters square, with a comfortable writing desk, digital safe, coffee, tea making facilities, iron and board are all available in the room. Free wifi connection throughout the building and universal sockets. There is a well equipped fitness center for you to work out or an outdoor swimming pool to relax, after a day outside.

The hotel staff are friendly , yet try their hotel breakfast as looking for some local breakfast outside , the room is big and everything was satisfied . we went there to celebrate wedding anniversary and I had remark during booking , surprise they prepared a very big cake for us some-more the cake is really delicious , thanks for everything and absolutely i will return when visit to Penang .

The location is in the heart of George Town, surrounded by shopping centers such as 1St Avenue Mall, Prangin Mall, and Komtar. Komtar is also popular as the hub for interstate bus interchange, including from Singapore. Jen hotel has the best location for visitors who enjoy roaming around and want to experience the local scene, cafe, restaurant, and all popular places such as Penang street art, Penang Little India, Temples, and Mosque all around this area. The hotel Lobby is spacious with a cafe lounge and Jen Restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The cafe lounge is open at 10am closed around 9 pm. The room is just average, and the bathroom is not so big. Since I am traveling alone, so it should be ok for me. Coffe and tea facilities are provided. The swimming pool and gym are located at level 4. Unfortunately, the swimming pool is open from 10 am to 6 pm only, and the gym is open up to 10 pm. It was rainy outside thus sitting here and drink some drinks before heading out. The fridge drinks are all free flow and even allowed to be take away! it is full size drinks as well. can also get drinks from coffee machines like the regular coffees stuffs, milo and even teh tirak! Overall experience is superb. From the check in with smooth process, warm welcoming staff until clean hotel. Good location with many local delicious food around the hotel. Staff with high hospitality and quality service. Hotel room clean and housekeeping staff were provided good service.

I love the interiors in lobby area. There is a cafe on the ground floor with lovely interiors too. They have swim pool with 150m and 200m depths. They also have free shuttle bus going to the other Shangri-La hotel near Batu Ferringhi Beach. So if we want to go to the beach, we can just go with it.

#penangtrip We took advantage of the Senior deal offering 60% off third night rate which was a saving but not as fantastic as that might sound given the taxes and charges loaded on top. The room was very nice and the bed super comfortable. The pool area could be greatly enhanced to make a better amenity - it is a very average area considering the rest of the hotel is quite stylish for a large chain. No food or drink options poolside either. Check in quick & mobile check out even quicker! Great location next to Komtar bus terminal & shopping mall & walking distance to the culinary delights of Georgetown

stayed at this hotel kind of in the middle city wjere it surrounds with variety of accomodation..mall,cafe, bank, f&b n so forth..and also very near to THE TOP KOMTAR...just like a stone throw a way...as my vacation was for familiy so that the pool very clean and room also excellent condition..the service also friendly and good..

Jen Hotel is located in the heart of Georgetown. A grab ride from airport is RM 20. There is bell boy service and you can leave your luggage at the bellboy counter for early check in. For my case, I arrive at 9am and they allowed me to check in early since there was available rooms. Nice gesture from the hotel! No hiccups during the stay!
