[2025 Shanghai Stay] Travel Guide for Ji Hotel (Shanghai People's Square) (Updated Mar)

🇨🇳 Shanghai Hotel, as advertised, many Thais stay, good location!! 📍𝗝𝗶 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹 (𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗶 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲'𝘀 𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗲) 𝗡𝗼.𝟱𝟬𝟬 Nanjing area We stayed in a Business room booked through Trip.com for around 2,700/night. The room was spacious, clean, and very beautiful and minimalist. More than I imagined. The bed was okay, there was a sitting area, tea and water provided, a refrigerator, a hot water kettle, a hair dryer, shower gel, and shampoo. The bathroom was a flush toilet but no bidet. The shower is strong and warm. We stayed on the 2nd floor. The room we stayed in did not smell of cigarettes. Some of the staff can speak a little English and some cannot, but the staff are lovely and try to communicate with us. We can leave our bags. The hotel is located in Nanjing area, not isolated, not scary. Next to the hotel is a restaurant, delicious and the restaurant opens late. There is a 7-11 (but closes at 10 pm). Opposite is Hey Tea (it seems this branch is open 24 hours). Behind the hotel is New World City shopping mall, and you can walk to shop in Nanjing area comfortably. I personally think the hotel is in a very good location. It is convenient to go to any area. If I have a chance to go to Shanghai again, I will stay here. 🚘Transportation: We took the DIDI from the airport to the hotel. The price is around 7-800 baht. You can pin the hotel. #chinatrip 📍Ji Hotel (Shanghai People’s Square), Shanghai, China Had a cozy and comfortable 3nights stay in Ji Hotel while visiting Shanghai! The location of the hotel is just spot on, easily accessible and walkable distance to metro station, and it’s conveniently located beside Nanjing Pedestrian Street. There are plenty of stores and eateries at the area, there is also a convenient store right beside! The check in was easy and seamless, a pretty quick one! Great service, got to store our luggage at the lobby after check out during our last day in Shanghai. The room was quite small but was comfortable, clean and cozy. There is also a mini table beside the bed to do some work on laptop. Love the big mirror with white lights, great to put on make ups! Overall, we had an amazing stay here!

Ji hotel has many branches in Shanghai city, so you have to be aware when you book the hotel, make sure that it is a correct one. The good thing of this hotel is location. You walk no more than 5 mins, you can reach the metro (people’square station ). Furthermore, exit number 7 is the nearest exit when you want to walk to the hotel. Also, if you book your hotel with trip.com, you can get the low price as well. For breakfast, you can order boil dumplings and Chinese noodle. I prefer the tofu which is delicious. It’s been great stay at this hotel, room was clean, staff all are so helpful and friendly too. Only downside is during breakfast time was so crowded and we have to stand beside the tables to wait for other guests to finish their foods. Recommending if staff can assist on this so that the whole situation won’t be so stressful too
