The Changyuan Youxiong Hotel in Suzhou was our home for three days, and my family didn't want to check out
After many visits to Suzhou and stays at numerous hotels, we checked into the Changyuan Youxiong Hotel this Chinese New Year. We stayed for three days and it was quite nice, so I'd like to share my experience.
🏨 The Changyuan Youxiong Hotel in Suzhou is located in Miaotang Alley, Gusu District, just five hundred meters from Yangyu Lane Subway Station. It's a new hotel that opened in 2023, redesigned and transformed from a century-old Suzhou residence, embodying the typical Suzhou garden style. With its pavilions, terraces, and towers, every step offers a new view, creating an elegant and tranquil atmosphere. It's known as a five-star hotel with an excellent reputation in Suzhou.
The hotel rooms are grandly and classically decorated, with high-end furniture, spacious areas, and very comfortable beds. The bedding is luxurious, soft to the touch, and the facilities are top-notch. The bathroom is well-designed with a wet and dry separation, and the toiletries are high-end. Even the slippers are exquisite, and the large windows offer a beautiful view of the garden outside.
😋 The breakfast is good, with a variety of options including traditional Suzhou morning snacks. The restaurant staff are very patient and take extra care of children and the elderly. It's very pleasant to have tea and chat in the courtyard, and they even provide a thoughtful late-night snack!
The service is particularly attentive and considerate. Check-in was quick, luggage assistance was prompt, room cleaning was timely, and the staff were polite and courteous. Issues were dealt with swiftly, making the stay feel refreshing.
The hotel features a bar, tea room, coffee shop, and the food in the restaurant is delicious. The surrounding area is full of attractions, with the Master of the Nets Garden, Lingering Garden, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Suzhou Museum all within close proximity. A leisurely stroll takes you to these sites, and at night, the courtyard lights up, bringing to life the ambiance of ancient Suzhou, full of charm and antiquity.
The stay includes two breakfasts, which is a great value. I've stayed at the Jingwenli Youxiong in Suzhou before, and this stay at Changyuan Youxiong was equally fantastic. I'll definitely consider returning in the future~
