|Zhenjiang 2-Day Tour. Zhenjiang, known as Runzhou in ancient times, was the capital of Jiangsu Province during the Republic of China. Although it is not a popular tourist city in Jiangnan, it is quieter and more natural than big cities, making it perfect for those who enjoy peace and quiet.
Zhenjiang has a history of over 3,000 years and is the birthplace of Wu culture. It is famous for its "Three Mountains and One Ferry", which refers to Jiaoshan, Jinshan, Beigu Mountain, and Xijin Ferry.
The three mountains are collectively known as the "Three Mountains Scenic Area". Visitors who enjoy hiking can take in the beautiful scenery of Jiangnan, and the "urban forest" landscape is also worth seeing. Jinshan has many attractions, including the famous Jinshan Temple, the site of the "Flooding of Jinshan Temple" in the Legend of the White Snake, Fahai Cave, Guanyin Pavilion, and Ancient Immortal Cave.
In addition to the three mountains, Zhenjiang also has a must-visit spot: Xijin Ferry Ancient Street, the "cultural vein" of Zhenjiang's historical and cultural city.
Here is a simple 2-day itinerary:
Day 1:
Visit Jinshan Temple in the morning and Xijin Ferry Ancient Street in the afternoon. You can also visit the British Consulate and Zhenjiang Museum near the ancient street.
Transportation: Take bus 2, 8, 17, 34, 35, 102, 104, or 115 to Jinshan Scenic Area, or take bus 17, 2, 29, 14, or 9 to Xijin Ferry Ancient Street.
Day 2:
Visit Jiaoshan in the morning and the Vinegar Culture Museum in the afternoon.
Transportation: Take bus 4, 104, D3, or D4 to Jiaoshan Scenic Area, or take bus 6, 21, or 118/D3 and transfer to bus 138 to the Vinegar Culture Museum.
