The ancient temples, trees, inscriptions, and cliff carvings are known as the "Four Ancients of Jiaoshan". The mountain is home to the famous Jiaoshan Stele Forest, and the rich content of the cliff carvings has earned it the title of "Calligraphy Mountain". The Dinghui Temple on Jiaoshan is one of the earliest temples built after Buddhism was introduced to China, and is referred to as one of the ancestral temples in the Buddhist "Lamp Transmission Records". Jiaoshan is an important site for Huayan Buddhism, and the Huayan School has been passed down here for a thousand years, making it a true "Realm of Huayan". 🔶Dinghui Temple was first built during the Xingping era of the Eastern Han Dynasty, and has a history of over 1,800 years. Dinghui Temple is grand in scale, and reached its peak during the Ming Dynasty, with 98 halls, 3,000 monks, and tens of thousands of monks meditating. The Jiaoshan stele forest further made me feel the wisdom and talent of the ancients. The mountain temple is faintly visible, the forest is lush, and the environment is beautiful, like a fairy island floating on the water. Take a ferry to the island and tour counterclockwise🔄. The ancient fort, an important historical defense on the Yangtze River, is very sturdy. Jiaoshan is not high, offering a bird's-eye view of the Yangtze River scenery.
