Haifeng, Shanwei, Guangdong|Jiming Temple on Lotus Mountain.
Jiming Temple is located in Haifeng City, which has a history of more than one thousand years. Since the Tang and Song Dynasties, merchants have gathered here and trade has been active. Sea goods and sea salt have entered the mainland from here, leaving behind a very rich historical and cultural memory. Jiming Temple, located in the suburbs of the county, is a legendary place. According to legend, during the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty, Monk Yinzhen went to Haifeng to beg for alms. There were several earthquakes in the area. In order to ward off evil spirits and gather blessings for Haifeng, Yinzhen built a temple near Lianhua Mountain. In the middle of the night, one could hear roosters crowing in the mountain, so the temple was named "Jiming Temple".
Before entering the temple, we could already see the Buddha statue in the mountains from afar. It looked particularly spiritual in the clouds and mist. From Ksitigarbha Pavilion, to the Heavenly King Hall, to the Big Buddha Statue, Bell and Drum Tower, etc., you can drive directly to the mountain, but if you walk you will need to climb the stairs.
