Taipei Jinan Fresh Soup Dumplings: A Delicious Surprise
Located in Taipei, Jinan Fresh Soup Dumplings is a cost-effective restaurant famous for its delicious dumplings.
When I was traveling in Taipei in early May this year, my friend and I arrived at 2 pm. Since the restaurant would temporarily close at 2:30 pm and reopen in the evening, we just had time to go in.
We ordered Jinan fresh soup dumplings, fresh paste, Dongpo pork and cherry shrimp with cabbage. The following is an introduction one by one.
First, let’s talk about the signature dish of “Jinan Fresh Soup Dumplings” - Jinan Fresh Soup Dumplings, also known as Xiaolongbao. These small and exquisite soup dumplings are full of meat and soup, and have a delicate and springy skin. When you take a bite, the soup will burst in your mouth, making you feel the incomparable deliciousness.
The second is Dongpo pork. One thing to note is that a basket of steamed buns (the yellow one in the picture) will come with the Dongpo pork, so remember to include it when calculating the portion, otherwise you might order too much. After a long period of slow cooking, the Dongpo pork is tender and juicy, and permeated with delicious sauce. Every bite of Dongpo pork brings full meaty aroma and taste.
Next was the sakura shrimp and cabbage. This dish was served in a steamed bun. I don’t have a very clear memory of it, but I remember that it tasted good.
Finally, the dish that amazed us the most was the eel paste. This dish uses eel as the main ingredient and is stir-fried with fresh spices. Every bite of the eel paste exudes a rich wok aroma and umami flavor. After taking a sip, you will be conquered by its rich taste and deep flavor, which makes my friends and I praise it endlessly.
