Rose garden in Chofu, near Tokyo
#Flower garden A day in Chofu is a one-day trip not far from Tokyo, about 50 minutes by train to reach the destination.
In addition to worshiping at Jindaiji Temple, the second oldest in the Kanto region (built in 733 AD, over 1,200 years old),
you also get to eat famous soba and visit Jindai Botanical Gardens next to the temple.
This is the time when the rose garden is in full bloom, very beautiful to see.
The rose garden is located in the middle of the wide square, called the Hall of Fame, collecting 15 species of roses selected by the World Rose Convention, planted in mixed colors, most of which are old and very tall. All the plants are blooming in a dazzling way. Walk around, read the signs, and take pictures in a leisurely manner.
In addition, there is a glasshouse nearby, displaying species of plants from many places for those interested to get to know, including tropical plants, orchids, lotuses, begonias, and cacti.
Walking a short distance along the path, there is also a chrysanthemum garden. There is also a bonsai exhibition.
It's unbelievable how many people came to visit even though it wasn't a holiday. There were groups to watch birds, groups to watch trees, and groups to draw pictures. The walking path around the garden is beautiful and convenient for both pedestrians and wheelchair users.
In addition to the seasonal flowers, the large trees in the garden, such as various types of pine trees, are also worth seeing.
