Jing’an Buddha Temple - Shanghai
#passionpassport
Jing'an Temple is one of the most famous temples in Shanghai which is located at West Nanjing Road, Jing'an District, the flourishing downtown area of Shanghai. In 1983, it was put on the list of key national protection. There are three main halls here: The Mahavira Hall, the Hall of Heavenly Kings and the ThreeSage Hall. In Mahavira Hall, the biggest pure jade portrait of Sakyamuni in Mainland China is placed. Jing'an Temple is a good place to escape the hustle and bustle of crowds in downtown Shanghai. In the meantime, you can enjoy the marvellous painting and calligraphy by Yangzhou's Eight Eccentric Painters in the Exhibition Hall of Buddhist Relics. An important display of this temple is the bronze bell which was made in the Ming Dynasy. #passionpassport #beautifuldestinations

Exploring Jing'an Temple @Shanghai
Jing'an Temple is one of the most famous temples in Shanghai; therefore, I visited this temple, despite the weather being gloomy.
Located in the Jing'an district, West downtown of Shanghai, Jing'an temple is a Tangmi Buddhist temple. The first thing that really wow me was the design and architecture of the temple, which was very beautiful and impressive with the backdrop of highrise buildings in Shanghai. Is like traditional blends in the cosmopolitan city.
This temple is calm, and clean. So nice to be in this temple, to appreciate and enjoy the significant artwork in this temple, including the well know and famous Hongwu bell, and the bronze Buddha.

Paddel X Jingan - Shanghai
For those wanting to play a new sport in the sunshine of Shanghai. PaddelX rooftop courts have lots to offer.
Brand new courts, free hire of rackets and balls and fantastic views over the city skyline.
The court is based on Anken road in jingan and can be booked on the wecaht app. There are also courts in Putuo, songjiang and other Shanghai districts.
A perfect sunny morning activity 🌄
The sport is very easy to pick up and start as any basic skills from tennis, squash or table tennis all come to the fore here .
The game is fast paced and requires 4 players, so is a good opportunity to have fun with your friends or make some new ones .

A temple with a European flair in China
Jing'an Temple in Shanghai at the MTR station in Zhongshan area is a beautiful sight to see when exiting the Jing'an MTR especially in the evening. Its lit up and glowing, the architecture is unique and photos taken near the temple at night come out really nice. There's a lot of history preserved in that one corner of the busy intersection. If you walk around to the other side, there is more architecture of the temple to view. The style is not only ancient China, it has an ancient European vibe to the temple too. THere are many cafes, malls, restuarants and a few bars to visit around that area too. The next time you stop off the MTR at night time, be sure to snap a photo, the golden candescent glow is like a sunset!
