Tainan Jingzijiao Wapan Salt Field History Monument
We arrived at the Wapan Salt Fields in Jingzijiao, where there is a strong historical atmosphere and records the hard livelihoods of several generations of people. The salt fields are arranged in a neat and uniform pattern on the flat ground, shining with crystal white light. People passing by are busy shuttling through the fields, holding salt rakes and diligently collecting the newly crystallized salt. The picture is like a dynamic rural painting.
On the trail through the salt pans, everything here seems so peaceful. The breeze is blowing gently, and the air is filled with a faint smell of salt, which makes people feel relaxed and happy. As the sun gradually rises higher, the salt fields become more and more dazzling in the sunlight, reflecting the white salt piles, as if entering a fairy tale world of ice and snow. In a corner, I saw works of art made of salt sculptures. These works cleverly integrated elements of the salt fields and were lifelike and amazing. After touring the salt fields, I came to the nearby Salt Craft Exhibition Hall, which introduced the salt-making process in detail. Every step from the evaporation of seawater to the crystallization of salt was intriguing. Through these displays, I have a better understanding of the profound heritage of salt field culture, and I also admire the hard work of the salt workers. I left Jingzijiao Wapan Salt Field with a lot of harvest. This trip not only opened my eyes, but also gave me a new understanding and respect for the traditional salt industry. It was an unforgettable journey that will remain in my memory forever. Qigu Salt Fields, when I came here this time, I felt the atmosphere was very different. You can admire the piles of white salt and the sky reflected on the water. As the sun sets, many people start to come with their cameras to take pictures. Walking towards the seaside, there is a very special Zhumu Temple, which is a marriage temple. You can see people coming here specifically to pray for marriage. Going further to the beach, you can see a lot of oysters being farmed on the seashore, which are very beautiful for taking photos.
Back to the visitor center, there are many different salt-based specialties nearby. The tofu pudding made with brine is delicious, and the ice cream and tea eggs are also highly recommended. #familytravel #romanticgetaway #beaches
