Jiufeng Mountain is located in the south of Nanping City, across the Xixi River from the urban area. Because the nine peaks overlap and occupy the crown of the peaks around the urban area, hence the name. The environment on the mountain is quiet and the trees are lush. In the mountains, there are eight ancient scenic spots in Nanping, such as "Nine Peaks Moonlight" and "Ape Cave Autumn Wind". In 1978, it was turned into a comprehensive park. In the park, 13 pavilions and flower gardens, including Youxiang Garden, Tianqing Pavilion, Cuiyun Pavilion, Lingyun Pavilion, Lengfeng Pavilion, and Yude Spring, have been built successively. In order to facilitate tourists to enjoy the scenery on Jiufeng Mountain, in 1984, a suspension pedestrian bridge across the Minjiang River was built between Jiufeng Mountain and the urban area. Jiufeng Mountain is dangerous and condescending, and it can be attacked and defended by risk. In 1933, the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army was besieging the city in Nanping to help, and the 19th Route Army rebelled against Jiang in Fujian. They all fought fiercely for the occupation of Jiufeng Mountain.
