They claimed it has bold flavours of cocoa and espresso but I do not think it was that ‘bold’ but could be because I had a strong coffee with mine. 🌟 As for coffee I chose my latte with palm sugar, I am a person interested in a little twist in my food/ drink. Coffee was strong which I like but probably a bit sweet for my taste. Should have mention to reduce the sweetness when I ordered earlier. 🌟 Cafe vibes; tropical garden vibes, decorated with wooden furniture. The area is small but few types of setting from medium group to smaller group. Wc is available at the back of the cafe. 🌟 Price wise; still reasonable for a cafe in a most visited street.

We decided to head there for lunch. Browsing the menu we found there are so much variety of food such as Pandan Rice, Nyonya fried chicken, Ngoh Hiang, and a wide variey of kueh-kueh to be chosen from. We decided on the Rendang Pandan Rice, Nyonya Fried Chicken Wings, Ngoh Hoang and 3 kinds of Kueh. The taste is authentic and superb, and the taste of spices literally filled up the entire shop and the we feel like having our meal in a field of spices.

You would pass by the lawn first before entering the cafe area where you can order items from the menu. The place serves up fusion style of food where you can find local delights with a mix of chinese and eastern food. Such as the nasi lemak or smoke duck. However he tried the fried kway tiao. it is a nice place for nature lovers as you get to be out in the open, at the same time admiring the vintage Chinese interior decor on the inside when escaping the heat.

One of the foods that I wanted to try when I visited Malacca was chicken rice balls. The chicken rice I’m used to just comes with a plate of rice but the ones from Chung Wah is different as the rice are rolled into sticky balls. It was my first time trying this and I was not disappointed! There was a long queue as always and we took about an hour or so just to be seated. The chicken was fragrant and well cooked and the rice balls were sticky with hints of ginger and garlic. Overall is was a yummy version of chicken rice that I enjoyed. You can find them at the entrance of Jonker Street, just next to Hard Rock Cafe. If you don’t mind the long wait, do give them a try when here! #malaka

The range of products was varied (so not just your usual tourist tat) plus the food options available were fantastic and very cheap. The entertainment on offer during the night market also kept us entertained. Our highlight on the main stage was some synchronised dancing by one of the local ladies groups – who needs ‘Strictly Come Dancing with the Stars’ (or whatever it is called) when you have cute old ladies doing cartwheels in unison?
