Something hugely unique about Chongqing is not just the hotpots, mountains but also its bunkers. So two must-sees are the Junge bookshop and the Bunker city’s hotpot. No matter how hot the weather may be outside, it’s nice and cool inside. Inside the bookshop, there is a minimum spend of 5 yuan. I chose the hot white tea because it comes with a hot flask of water for refills. It’s tranquil no matter to read a book, take photos, write a postcard or take a short walk further into the tunnels to experience the dead silence. Taking a train over to the hotpot restaurant (地下之城·防空洞老火锅(B区龙头寺店), simply approach the staff for a table number. Then walk down the stretch to soak in all the chatter and smell of good food. Go ahead and call out to the staff if you want it spicier. Get a beer or get a dessert to go along with it. Most importantly, take lotsa photos. #thingstodo #localfood #bunker

Jun Ge Bookstore is a good place to spend a whole day reading. The owner has been collecting books for 40 years! You can order a cup of iced tea or cola here, it's very comfortable✨
