Many people who travel to Akita will come to the Samurai Residence. Usually, many people will arrange a half-day tour. I highly recommend that you come here early in the morning and have lunch here. I highly recommend that you eat at Sakura-no-Sato. Here you can eat Akita's super delicious Hinai-no-chicken, udon, and rice sticks. The service is also super good and has a Japanese style. Kakunodate in Akita prefecture is famous for its samurai district which did not disappoint. People who already have an interest and some knowledge would surely appreciate all the preserved buildings and artifacts on display here. On the other side of the town is a quiet river and park which makes for a nice stroll back down off the busier streets.
