The International Market Place is located in Kalākaua Avenue, less than 5 minutes from Waikiki beach. This outlet was designed with beautiful tree gardens, water features, and around a huge main tree. In this market you can find few restaurants, luxury shops, free wifi and few charging places for your phone (right next to the big tree). A must visit location after/before the beach. You will have many options to rest while enjoying Waikiki. During my stay, have visited this place every singe day, even just to sit down and take a breath. Kalakaua Avenue (Kalakaua Street) is the main street representing the Waikiki area on Oahu Island, Hawaii 🌴 As the central hub for tourism and located adjacent to Waikiki Beach, it is bustling with people from morning until night 👀 Lined with luxury hotels, famous brand stores, restaurants, and cafes, it is the perfect area for shopping and enjoying gourmet food 🤍 At night, the illuminations and light displays create a beautiful and even more vibrant atmosphere ✨ Even late at night, the streets are lively, with popular shave ice and ice cream stands, allowing for a safe and enjoyable stroll through the city 🩷

International Market Place is a popular shopping destination on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Located on the famous Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki, it boasts 100 shops and restaurants and is renowned for its unique landscaping, especially the central courtyard garden centered around an ancient banyan tree, providing visitors with a lush green resting space. 🚩Basic Information * Location: The shopping center is located in the heart of Waikiki on Kalakaua Ave, just steps from Waikiki Beach and easily accessible on foot. * History: International Market Place's history dates back to 1957. It first debuted as an open-air market, famous for its collection of handicrafts, jewelry, and souvenirs from around the world. In 2013, a large-scale renovation began, and it reopened with a brand-new look in 2016. The new design preserved the century-old banyan tree and created a modern shopping and dining complex around it. * Opening Hours: Generally open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm daily, but hours may vary during holidays or special events. It is recommended to check the official website for confirmation. * Main Brands and Facilities: The shopping center has over 90 shops and restaurants, including international high-end brands such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Burberry, Coach, Gucci, Tiffany, and more, as well as local Hawaiian specialty stores. There is also a food court offering a variety of choices from Hawaiian flavors to international cuisine. 💥Special Recommendations: 🫶🏻1) There's a great bakery called Liliha Bakery on the third-floor terrace. Established in 1950, it's known for its delicious brunch and desserts. I tried their bread and cakes, and they were both excellent, with reasonable prices. Before leaving Hawaii, I went back and bought a bunch of croissants🥐, peanut butter cookies, and other treats as snacks. 🫶🏻2) Mitsuwa Marketplace is a hidden gem at International Market Place, specializing in Japanese groceries, daily necessities, cosmetics, and Japanese food. If you're looking for something different to eat in Waikiki, this supermarket's bento boxes and ramen will offer a respite from expensive restaurant bills, while the mochi donuts and sashimi provide a purely Japanese treat.
