#Japan and Korea Springtime Destinations Whenever spring comes and flowers bloom, I always can't wait to go to Kamogawa Park in Kyoto to experience this unique cherry blossom viewing experience in person. This green corridor stretches for several kilometers along both sides of the Kamo River. When the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, it seems to transform into a charming and gorgeous flower corridor. As you step onto the park's trail, what comes into view are rows of blooming cherry trees on both sides that block out the sun. I saw pink and white flowers swaying in the breeze, like clouds floating in the air, so beautiful and charming. As you walk through it, the fragrance of flowers fills your nose, making you feel relaxed and happy. Strolling slowly along this cherry blossom path. When passing the ancient Kamogawa arch bridge, you can enjoy the gorgeous flower scenery. The layers of cherry blossoms on the bridge are reflected in the water, creating a doubly pleasing dreamlike scene. Sometimes you can come across cherry blossom vendors on the roadside, and having a drink in this flowery environment is really one of the great pleasures in life.

Restrooms are a bit of a walk to get to but the park has trash cans, benches, and plenty of open green space for families, groups, and individuals to sit down, relax, have a picnic, or play with a ball. Very nice on sunny days as well since there is a lot of shaded areas under trees along the roadside. The negative is the noise from the nearby roads, the danger to children therein, and the distance required to walk to nearby convenience stores (far and few).
