A journey where nature and history intersect
Kanagawa Prefectural Kannonzaki Park covers almost the entire area of Kannonzaki, which juts out into Tokyo Bay, and you can watch ships coming in and out and walk through the forest. There are many tourist attractions around the park. For example, the Kannonzaki Lighthouse, Japan's first Western-style lighthouse, the Kannonzaki Nature Museum, which exhibits the nature of Tokyo Bay, and the Yokosuka Museum of Art, which exhibits art from the sea of Yokosuka and the Miura Peninsula.
Kannonzaki Park is rich in nature and has the charm of both the sea and the mountains. The park is surrounded by greenery and you can enjoy hiking. There are various tourist attractions inside and outside the park, and the Kannonzaki Lighthouse, Kannonzaki Nature Museum, and Yokosuka Museum of Art are popular.
Kannonzaki Park is very vast and divided into many areas, so you won't get bored even if you play there all day. We also recommend playing on the rocks at the beach and walking around historical sites while enjoying the untouched nature.
The park also has many facilities and activities, including the Park Center, Kannonzaki Nature Museum, a monument to fallen sailors, the remains of a gun battery, a flower plaza, a sea lodge, a nature observation forest, a parking lot, the Yokosuka Museum of Art, and a barbecue area.
Kannonzaki Park is easily accessible, and can be reached by taking the "Kannonzaki" bus from Yokosuka Station and getting off at the last stop, or by taking the "Kannonzaki" bus from Uraga Station and getting off at the last stop.
