[Fukusaki Town] Japanese style house
This is the birthplace of Kunio Yanagita, a famous folklorist from Fukusaki Town. It is a prefecture-designated important folk cultural property. It is thought to be a building from the mid-Edo period, and is valuable as an ordinary farmhouse from that time. It is a single-story house that looks like it came out of a fairy tale. It is located above Tsujikawayama Park, which is famous for its monsters. You can park in the Tsujikawayama Park car park and go sightseeing, so it's safe to travel by car.

[Fukusaki Town] Recommended for camping lovers
The bungalows can be used for day trips or overnight stays. Each building also has a barbecue site, so if you bring your own food, you can enjoy meals in nature. There are fans and sinks inside, and blankets and mats for guests, but most people bring their own sleeping bags. After checking in, you will be taken to the campsite in your own car, so please stop by Kasuga Fureai Kaikan first.
This is a recommended campsite for those looking for day camping, barbecues, campsites, and bungalow accommodation at low prices.

[Fukusaki Town] A park where even adults can have fun with monsters
This is a fun park with tricks like a kappa appearing from the pond and an upside-down tengu jumping out of a monster hut. The motif is the kappa that appears in the book "Seventy Years in My Hometown" by Kunio Yanagita, a folklorist from Fukusaki-cho. Everyone seemed to be having fun, with adults murmuring "Eh!?" and small children saying it was scary. I went on a weekend and it was crowded with many tourists. It's a recommended tourist spot in Fukusaki-cho.

A must-see for yokai fans?! Yokai bench in Fukusaki, Hyogo Prefecture
There are many yokai in Fukusaki Town, located in the southwest of Hyogo Prefecture☺︎
At Fukusaki Station, you will be greeted by the kappa Gajiro-kun.
At Tsujikawayama Park, Gajiro-kun also appears from the pond.
This park also has the birthplace and memorial hall of Yanagita Kunio, an ethnologist who was active from the Meiji to Showa periods.
There are currently 21 types of yokai benches in total.
They are scattered around, so it took a long time to search for them, and I only found 14 types😅
But while I was looking for them, I drank kappa cider, browsed the local greengrocers, and had a lot of fun in Fukusaki Town, where time just seemed to flow by leisurely.
My favorite bench is Konakijii-san♡
