Each year, the season will vary slightly depending on the weather conditions. 🚄 Travel – Take the JR Odoriko train and get off at Kawazu Station. It takes about 2 hours and 35 minutes (you can use the Tokyo wide pass). – Take the Kodama Shinkansen and get off at Atami Station. Kawazu is famous for the earliest cherry blossoms in the Kanto region, starting from the end of February to the beginning of March. Kawazu city is not far from Tokyo, about 2 40 minute train ride. Kawazu district is located on the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture. Every year, the Kawazu Sakura Festival is held. The highlight here is the cherry blossoms that are pink and extra large. I went to see Kawazu Sakura, an early-blooming cherry blossom on the Izu Peninsula! The Kawazu Sakura Festival is held every year from February 1st to 28th, and is crowded with many tourists every year. 🌸 It was the end of the month, so I thought it was a little late, but it seems that the cherry blossoms are blooming late this year, and the cherry blossoms along the river were only about 40% in bloom. However, the Kawazu Sakura trees were in full bloom and very beautiful. 😆 There were many stalls set up during the festival, and it was very crowded!
