[2025 Bali ] Travel Guide for Kecak and Fire Dance (Updated Jun)

What a great holiday it is in Bali! I’ve just came back from Bali and it is magnificent. Since 2020, my girlfriend and I had been planning a vacation to Bali, unfortunately at that time the pandemic hits and all airports in Bali (Denpasar) were closed and the Indonesian Government implement a quarantine and strict health protocol (along with other world government). The good news is since mid 2021 Bali has been reopened for tourist and last week we decides to go to Bali. We visited countless hidden gem as well as well-known places that gives us excitement. We went to Bali Zoo & Bird Park that offers us sightseeing to many Indonesian fauna & flora. We also visited Kuta & Uluwatu beach for the wonderful sunset. Finally, we were having fun in beach clubs such as mexicola and finns which is awesome. For all the readers out there, I am recommending you to visit Bali for those who haven’t been there (yet) and for those who have been there, why don’t you plan another trip to Bali and explore the hidden gems of Bali that has lot to offer. If you’re looking for an evening out, the Kecak dance is a fun evening. Located near Uluwatu (which boasts big waves and beach eats), Kecak, known in Indonesian as tari kecakilolahhe, is a form of Balinese Hindu dance and music drama that was developed in the 1930s in Bali, Indonesia. You can watch a performance at the temple for about £20 a ticket. You are given traditional sarong to wear to enter the temple and are required to purchase a ticket for an extra 100,000. The temple does have monkeys! It’s recommended to arrive around 30 minutes early for a seat. I arrive 10 minutes before and was sit in the isle at the back. It was an amazing performance and I’d highly recommend a visit! #summervacation i came here 2 years ago, however if you wanna come here during pandemic, They already got CHSE certification to operate during pandemic. All dancers already got vaccinated. The audience capacity was decreased, the seat spot was managed to be distanced, the staff were help to organize & remind people. There were also washing hand station. Even though the dance was modified due to pandemic, I can still enjoying the perfomance. What a great show. I want to come again after the situation is normal to see the full perfomance. The kecak dance ticketing locket is open at 5pm, you can buy on the spot or buy it online. Before that you can walking around the temple but be aware of the monkey!
