20 photos cannot express the beauty of Hokuriku!
I have traveled to Japan too many times. In the past, I followed my idol and toured all over Japan. I passed by Fukui, which even Sakura Girl didn’t know about, on this trip to Hokuriku.
I got off the plane at Kansai Airport in the morning. Considering that it was too far to go directly to Unazuki Onsen, and it would take 5.5 hours to transfer by Shinkansen, I chose to stay overnight at Kaga Onsen on the first day. It only took 3.5 hours to get there. I had to transfer at Tsuruga Station, so I had lunch and sightseeing in Tsuruga while it was still early. There is a bronze statue of Galaxy Express 999 in the shopping streets near Tsuruga Station (?), but for a shrine-goer like me, the only one I mainly go to is Kehi Jingu Shrine. I had some eel rice on the way back to the station, but it turns out that you can’t eat cooked fish in Hokuriku, you should only eat sashimi, haha. .
Arrived at Kaga Onsen Station, I booked this hotel because I knew that the hotel #葉渡莉 shuttle bus did not require reservations. However, when I arrived at the hotel, there was no waiter to help with my luggage, and the attitude of the waiter who explained it was very average, without a smile. He even took the yukata and daily necessities I needed in the lobby, and I had to drag my large luggage up to the room by myself. The location of the room was quite speechless. It was on the stairs of the fire escape, and I had to go up 3 steps to get in. It felt like a "rooftop house". The room was also extremely small, a 6-tatami-mat Japanese-Western style room, and the bed could only be a single bed. It was my fault for not checking carefully before booking. The banquet we had in the evening had a lot of dishes, and they were very delicate, but the taste was very average. Only the waiters in the restaurant were much better, and they could communicate with me in English the whole time (although I can speak Japanese). The breakfast was a buffet, and it was just average. And that was all for 24,200 oceans, high class level.
On the way to Himi on the second day, we wandered around the Umihashi Coast for a while. It was more beautiful than Kamakura. We also had lunch before we set off. When we arrived at Himi Station, the hotel's #umiakari shuttle bus was already waiting. There were only locals traveling with us. We dragged our luggage onto the bus ourselves. The hotel provided free coffee, black tea and soft ice cream. It was worth booking this time. The room was a double bed room with a full sea view. Dinner was Tamatebako + Himi beef tomato hot pot. Although it looked smaller than the full banquet dishes, it was very delicious! After eating, go soak in the hot springs. The open-air hot springs face the unparalleled sea view, which is a must-see in life!
After checking out the next day, the hotel took me to Himi Station, where I rented a bicycle and headed to Michi-no-Eki. I wanted to eat crabs, but there were not many to choose from, so I was a little disappointed and didn't buy any. However, the fried white shrimps were really delicious!
Continue on the road to Unazuki Onsen, hotel #grandvriohotel, the room is very big! I booked an 8-tatami + Hiroen room with a double bed, a view, and 2 TVs! We had a buffet for dinner, which included hot pot but no beef, and the dishes were average. The highlight of the tour is the Unazuki sightseeing train! The round trip ride cost over 2,000 yuan and took almost 2 hours. Although it only went to Nekomata Station and there was nothing interesting to see after getting off the bus, it was still quite fun!
After that, I went back to Toyama and stayed for 3 nights #granvia, JR Toyama Direct Connection. The lobby is on the 5th floor of the department store, and there is a supermarket and restaurant on the 1st floor. It is very convenient!
And it was very convenient for me to visit Takaoka, Tateyama Kurobe and Kanazawa during the 3 days.
I went to Nosaku Main Club to experience handmade tinware, went to Tateyama Kurobe to catch the last trolley tunnel train, had a meal at Murodo, which is over 2,000 meters above sea level, and took photos of the double rainbow at Kurobe Dam. I ate two red crabs for 3,000 dollars and a bowl of red crab rice for 3,000 dollars. I went to Kanazawa to eat Kanazawa Castle. On the last night, I returned to Rinku Tun near Kansai Airport at noon and stayed at the popular #omohotel of Hoshinoya Group for only 10,600 dollars. I don’t recommend the dinner buffet, but the breakfast is delicious! There are 4 types of packcakes to choose from, the bread and coffee are also very good, and you can take it away. There is also a shuttle bus to Kansai Airport, as well as 3 baths (semi-open-air and indoor) and a sauna. There is a convenience store downstairs, and there are outlets, food and a 24-hour supermarket nearby! Highly recommended, but you have to be quick or book in advance!
