[2025 Hanoi Restaurant] Travel Guide for Kem Trang Tien (Updated Apr)

Kem Trang Tien is a long established ice cream shop, most of the people in the capital will know. It is located at 35 Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem, and is open daily from 0800-2200. It is just a few minutes walk either from Hanoi Opera House or Trang Tien Plaza. Kem Trang Tien was founded in 1958, with a history of more than half a century. Inside was crowded with visitors to take nice photo shots on the wall pictures and the surrounding. They serve ice cream on a stick, ice cream on a cone, mochi and hot desert, but most of them are here for the ice cream. I tried both the cone ice cream and the desert, i still prefer the ice cream, not very sweet and the cone is crispy, there are several flavours for you to select.

Established since 1958 Kem Trang Tien is one of the oldest ice cream company in Hanoi. It’s the most sweetest memory for many generations of Hanoian. Strongly recommended to get yourself at least one bar to taste it yourself & build up unique memory of yours. Choice of selections: Taro, Coconut, Green Bean, Black Sesame, Milk & many mores. Beside the ice cream bars, they do offer authentic ice cream too. Wait no more if you happen to be in the city of Hanoi. They have several branches / outlets across the city.
