#hatyaitrip Khohong Hill is a lovely place to visit in Hat Yai. It is located at the public park area where locals go for their recreation early in the morning or evenings…. Here, at the top of the hill, you can enjoy the view of Hat Yai… There is a tall golden Buddha statue which was built for King Bhumibol, the 9th king of Thailand, which is 9 metres tall... and you can climb down the stairs for some adventure and amazing sights ending at the Golden Dragon… and venture to see the goddess of mercy below….

The panoramic views of the surrounding landscape were absolutely stunning, and without the crowds, I had the place almost to myself. At the summit, I was in awe of the towering golden Buddha, standing majestically against the clear sky. Beneath it, I found a serene lying Buddha statue and surprisingly lifelike monk puppets—adding a unique touch to the already spiritual setting. While sunset might be the peak time for photos, visiting in the afternoon gave me the chance to explore the viewpoint without rush. For those looking for a tranquil retreat with spectacular views, Kho Hong is definitely a must-see, no matter the time of day.

This is another landmark of Hat Yai. When you arrive at the park, you can buy a tram ticket to go up for only 20 baht round trip. The atmosphere is very nice and cool. While riding the tram up, it's very shady and gives a great feeling. At the top, there is the Phra Phutthamongkol Maharaj, which is the spiritual center for the people of Hat Yai. There are also other sacred things such as the Bodhisattva Guan Yin, the God of War Guan Yu, Cai Shen, and Phra Sri Ariya, etc.

#weekendgetaways Kho Hong Mountain Viewpoint is a must-visit tourist attraction located in Kho Hong, Hat Yai District, Songkhla 90110 Thailand. It was a cloudy morning, we rented a Scooter for TB300/day, riding from Hatyai downtown to the viewpoint was around 25 minutes(8.5km). The atmosphere there was tranquil, cool and windy, we were strolling around the area while enjoys the beautiful panoramic view of the city. Truly, it was a wonderful experience!
