Let's go to Iwakuni, a small city in Japan!!!
I went to Iwakuni, a small city in Japan, not a big city like Tokyo, Osaka, or Fukuoka that many people visit!
Iwakuni, which takes about an hour by train from Hiroshima! When you get off at the station, a really small city unfolds before your eyes. There are no tall buildings, and there are some buildings that are about 5 stories high, but it really shows that it is a small city.
One of the reasons I came to this small city that looks like a countryside is to see Iwakuni Castle and Kintai Bridge.
First, Kintai Bridge is a bridge made of an incredibly curved arch, and it really shows an incredible curve that defies the ordinary, and it serves as a bridge to Iwakuni Castle.
Looking at Kintai Bridge on top of the Nishikishi River, a picturesque view unfolds.
And when you cross Kintai Bridge, you can see Iwakuni Castle on the mountain in the distance! As the name suggests, it is located majestically on top of a mountain. Unlike the castles we usually see in Japan, such as Osaka Castle and Hiroshima Castle, which are located on flat ground and surrounded by moats, this castle is located on a real mountain, making it look different. It is easier to go up and down high mountains with a ropeway than to walk on foot.
If you want to feel a small Japanese city, visiting Iwakuni might be a good choice.
