This restaurant is very near Kobe Chinatown. We were looking for a place to eat Kobe Beef and stumble on to Kanou. The Kobe beef was delicious, right amount of fat in it and melt in your mouth kind of beef. The best beef I had in Japan so far. The place have good service and English speaking. And the cost is economical for the lunch and quality of the beef we had. We spend JPY8050 for the dishes we ordered. Marvellous.

If you take the ferry, go to the 1st floor of the airport to buy a ferry ticket, then take the shuttle bus to the ferry. The ferry ride takes 30 minutes. #thingstodo I loved this Chinatown and would go back to it next time to eat. (We were not able to eat this time as we had had a big lunch and were having Kobe steak for dinner.) The Chinatown is big. It is clean. It is tourist friendly. There are many food stalls - mostly offering the same items. There are a few Spider-Mans along the walls so it could be fun trying to find them all in this area and the surroundings. I would recommend this Chinatown for a walk through even if not stopping by to eat in it. There are many side alleys that looked interesting which we didn’t get to walk down.

chinatown in kobe , october trip , was so awesome to see so much familiar food and drinks right in the middle of the trip . seems like even if you are from China and traveling japan for a long time you will always have a little piece of it so you wont feel so homesick
