[Nagano] Komoro, a city where history and nature coexist
#Spring0yentrip
Komoro is a quiet town in Nagano Prefecture, where history and nature are in harmony. The first place we visited was Komoro Castle Park. Here, we strolled through the park, which spreads out around the castle ruins, and enjoyed the beautiful nature of each season. It was especially beautiful during the spring cherry blossom season, when the area was bustling with people watching the flowers. Within the park, the historic Sannomaru ruins and the castle moat remain, giving the place a traditional feel. We also visited Nostalgia Garden in the center of town, where we were able to walk through the buildings from the early Showa period and the quaint streets, and the historic atmosphere of the townscape soothed our hearts. Around Komoro Station, we could enjoy dishes made with local ingredients, and the Shinshu soba, a specialty of Komoro, was particularly delicious. Komoro is a peaceful town where history and nature blend together, making it the perfect place to spend some relaxing time.
