We recommend visiting when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Climbing the stone steps is tough, but it's free to enter, and the beautiful scenery will make you forget all the fatigue from climbing the steps. After descending, there are many souvenir shops on the approach to the shrine, so you can eat sweets or noodles on the way home, making it a perfect spot to get some exercise. The long-awaited Konpira Kabuki, which has been held for the first time in five years since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, is being held to coincide with the cherry blossoms in full bloom. The whole town is excited, and the atmosphere is very lively. It's a very luxurious spring to be able to combine a visit to Konpira with watching kabuki. I hope that the event will be held to coincide with the cherry blossoms in full bloom again next year, and I would like to enjoy the rare kabuki performance in Kotohira.
