Kota Mahsuri is one of the top attractions in Pulau Langkawi! Kota Mahsuri is a great place to learn about the Langkawi history and Malaysian culture. At the entrance there are traditional band, comprising of mainly women. Playing soothing traditional music in traditional instruments that called “Cak Lempong”. Later you will walk to the path to Mahsuri Tomb or we called “Makam Mahsuri”. I was bewildered that it was quite big inside that not only “Makam Mahsuri “ to visit but other things too. Kampung Kedah is one of the attractions which you could find all types of traditional houses architecture in Kedah state. There was a well at that place named “Telaga Mahsuri”. A small bucked was place beside the well. 🛖The myth of “Telaga Mahsuri”🛖 1. If you wash your face with the water from the well, it would help to retain youthful look. 2. The water from the well was said to be cool compared to any other wells in Langkawi. 3. Local believed that the water never dried up even during the drought. I would recommended parents to bring the kids to come over here for an educational tour! Overall, it was worth to visiting when you came to Langkawi.
