It only takes about an hour’s drive from Kuching city to rural and tranquil Padawan; the Bengoh Dam was built as a water catchment for the residents in Kuching. From the jetty at the dam, a half-hour boat ride takes you to Sting, where the villagers have opted to move further up the hill rather than being resettled in the nearby resettlement.
