[2025 Kunshan Stay] Travel Guide for Kunshan Hiti Alruo Resort (Updated Apr)

Shanghai is having some rare good weather, so why not invite two or three of your besties to travel together! Our itinerary wasn't too packed. After the kids finished their classes, we picked up my little dumpling's besties and set off together for the Ideal Village of Jijiadun in Kunshan! I'd always heard from my friends that this place was fun and easy to get around, and that it was a great place to unwind. All of that appealed to me, so this time we chose to stay at the Alanruo Resort in the Ideal Village! Everything here is so thoughtful, with exclusive butler service and free parking lot! (Although it's very close to the hotel, the hotel also thoughtfully arranged a shuttle service! Luggage was delivered to our rooms.) We booked a loft room on the first and second floors! Every little detail in the hotel is so considerate, from the red velvet cake and fruit upon check in to the children's toothbrushes and slippers~ They really thought of everything! After checking in, my friends and I ordered hot pot and barbecue~ The staff helped us set up a super-large tent ⛺ where we could eat. The tent could accommodate all ten of us, and there was a super-large barbecue grill outside~ We ate tom yum hot pot and coconut chicken hot pot~ The little ones acted as little waiters and helped us adults with the grilled skewers~ It was so much fun~ After eating, right next to the restaurant was Peppa Pig Paradise, where the kids started swinging, sliding, seesawing, and climbing~ Everything was arranged perfectly~ It's so easy to be a mom here~ Moms, come here to unwind~ Near the hotel, there's a cafe, a kayaking club, a dessert station, a small train~ and the Ideal Village's iconic big white goose~ Next to the big white goose, there's also a non-powered playground~ Kids can easily spend 2 days having fun in Jijiadun~ There are also two ancient towns worth visiting near our homestay. The homestay is a 10-minute drive from Jinxi Ancient Town! It takes 15–20 minutes by car to get to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town. Both of these ancient towns are worth a visit, with their rich ancient charm!

I brought my little girl 👧 to Xidi Alanruo in Kunshan‼️ This secluded resort nestled by the waterside has completely captured my heart💕 We checked in on Saturday, and the butler's💁‍♀️ service was incredibly attentive. We booked the loft king room, which featured floor-to-ceiling windows, a large bathtub🛁, an iPad, a capsule coffee machine, a tea table, and unique perfumes. We could even choose our preferred aromatherapy scents and toiletries🧼, a truly personalized touch. ‌ The resort boasts several restaurants offering Western cuisine, afternoon tea, coconut chicken hot pot, tom yum hot pot… We enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea at the Jungle Bar and opted for Western food🍽️ for dinner. The stunning infinity pool is perfect for taking photos📷, and the resort also has a free children's playground🛝 with no-power rides, where kids can have a blast👏. In your free time, you can also try your hand at making wood crafts and ceramics at the carpentry workshop and pottery studio👍. After breakfast🥣 the next day, we took a small train through the fields, enjoying the natural scenery. The red velvet cake 🍰 was especially welcome—we were a bit hungry when we arrived, and it was the perfect pick-me-up. The resort is also super kid-friendly, with children's toothbrushes 🪥 and slippers provided. There was another pleasant surprise in the evening: the butler left sweet white fungus soup on the nightstand. Such a warm and thoughtful gesture. 🧡 The highlight has to be the infinity pool! The azure water shimmering under the sun made us feel like we were at an exotic resort. Staying at the Kunshan Xidi Aranya Resort was the best decision I made. The room I booked had a huge bathtub 🛁 It was big enough for two adults and had a great view. The hotel also provided essential oils, rose petals 🌹, bath bombs, and bath salts. The bath salts were free, and the rest could be purchased as a set. I sprinkled the petals in the bath and added the toy duck 🐣. My child had a great time playing. I also enjoyed a relaxing and fragrant hot bath ♨️ If you arrive early and the room was not occupied the day before, you can check in early. Very considerate. The air conditioning in the room was turned on in advance, which was great.
