🇯🇵 Miyako Island Exploring Miyako Island for the first time on a 1-night, 2-day cycling trip 🚴 Since I don't have a driver's license, my transportation options were limited. Therefore, I prioritized the location and facilities of the hotel, pinned my must-visit spots on a map, and planned a smooth itinerary. Thanks to thorough preparation and favorable weather, my "whirlwind cycling tour of Miyako Island" turned out to be an amazing trip 🚴🏝️🩵. Even by bicycle, I was able to fully enjoy and feel satisfied with the journey. #AbsolutelyFreeTrip If you cross the Kurima Bridge from the main island of Miyakojima, you will find Nagamahama Beach, which has not been turned into a tourist spot. Nagamahama is a beach on the west side of Kurima Island, and is known as the filming location for the movie "Kisarazu Cat's Eye Japan Series" and the final episode (last scene) of the drama "TRICK3". The road leading to the beach is overgrown with trees, giving it a sense of secluded land. Please be careful as the road is narrow. A short walk leads to a spectacular view. When we went, there was no one there, and it was a completely private beach. You can enjoy both the rocks and the sand. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Miyako, so please go and check it out! You can also see the sunset♪ Please be careful as there are no showers or toilets. The Kurima Ohashi Observatory is a spectacular spot located on Kurima Island in Miyakojima City, Okinawa Prefecture. It is located in Kurima Higashi Rural Park, close to the Kurima Ohashi Bridge, and from the observation deck you can see the Kurima Ohashi Bridge, Kurima Port, and Yonaha Maehama Beach on the opposite shore of Miyako Island! On a clear day, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the subtropical green, vivid blue sea, and clear blue sky. There are benches in the park, so you can take a relaxing break while enjoying the view! There is also a parking lot and public toilets, so you can use them conveniently! The Kurima Ohashi Observatory is a recommended tourist spot on Kurima Island. The Kurima Bridge, which connects Kurima Island, one of the five islands in the Miyako Islands, to the Miyako mainland, is a 1,690m long bridge that opened in 1995. The water is incredibly clear! It was so beautiful and moving. Kurima Island itself is a small island, and you can go around the entire island in about 10 minutes. It's also easy to access from Miyako Airport, so it was a great driving course. However, there aren't many traffic lights on the island, so please drive safely and be careful of your speed and avoid jumping out. The Laijian Bridge was built in 1988 and was completed in March 1995. The total length is 1690 meters. The bridge is located on the southwest side of Miyako Island, opposite the Maipama Beach, with an area of about 2.8 square kilometers. It has a population of less than 200 people. Since the completion of the bridge in 1995, it has been connected to the same island. It is the longest agricultural road bridge in Japan. From the observation deck of the Dragon Palace in the northeast side of the island, you can see Miyako Island surrounded by the blue sea. The scenery on both sides is beautiful when passing through the bridge. The weather is a bit bad, but looking for a good angle, you can still see Figure 1, 2 of Miyako Blue.
