[2025 Dazaifu Attraction] Travel Guide for Kyokusui no Niwa (Updated Jun)

If you have some extra time during your trip to Fukuoka, or if this is your nth visit to Fukuoka, I recommend taking a day trip to the nearby area. 📍Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine This shrine is dedicated to the god of learning, making it a great spot for students or those preparing for exams. However, it's not just the shrine itself that's worth visiting. There's a famous Starbucks with unique architecture, as well as a shopping street filled with interesting sights and delicious food. Definitely worth checking out!

#Travel Course The first tourist destination of the Fukuoka Yufuin Tour, Dazaifu's red bridge and pond were so pretty😮 I could feel the quiet atmosphere, but unfortunately, I couldn't see the Dazaifu cherry blossoms at the end of March. The plum blossoms at the entrance were also falling. Now, we're going to Yufuin, and they hand out Umegae Mochi, which is famous in Dazaifu, on the bus. It's warm and chewy, and the outside is a bit like a monaka! There's red bean paste inside, so it's worth trying at least once.

#Travel Course On the first day, I enjoyed the cherry blossoms at Ohori Park, Maizuru Park, and Nishi Park during the cherry blossom season, and on the second day, I took the Yufuin Bus Tour and had a great time. First, I arrived at Dazaifu. I was almost the first to arrive, so it was nice to be able to tour the quiet and secluded Dazaifu Tenmangu. Dazaifu Tenmangu is a shrine that enshrines the god of Japanese learning, and it is said to be a popular place for students and their parents!☺️

One of the places you must visit when you come to Fukuoka is Dazaifu!!! Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine is dedicated to Sugawara Michizane, known as the god of learning, and is a popular spot for students and visitors praying for academic success! When you visit, you can experience the traditional atmosphere of a Japanese shrine! Another must-try in Dazaifu is the famous Umegae-mochi. This traditional sweet is a crispy rice cake filled with sweet red bean paste. You can easily find freshly baked, warm Umegae-mochi at the shops in front of Tenmangu Shrine. #December Travel Support Event Dazaifu Tenmangu was a wonderful shrine where you could feel the history and tradition of Japan. This shrine, which enshrines Tenmano-Mikoto, the god of learning and wisdom, is especially famous for being visited by many students. Upon entering the shrine, the quiet atmosphere and beautiful garden made me feel at ease. There were many souvenir shops around the shrine along with traditional buildings, providing an opportunity to experience Japanese culture and history. There were also many people who got their fortunes told or prayed for wishes at the shrine, and the process was also very interesting. Dazaifu Tenmangu was not just a nice place to visit, but also an important place where you could deeply understand Japanese history and religion.

#FukuokaTravelDestination - Dazaifu Tenmangu It's not in the city of Fukuoka, but it's easily accessible by subway, so it's a tourist attraction that's considered one of the best in Fukuoka! We also went there in the morning, even though it was a bit chilly, and the pond and bridge looked so pretty when the sun rose! There are a lot of people taking pictures, but if you wait your turn, you can take a picture by yourself, so check out the photo zone! There's also a space where you can make a wish, so I recommend writing it down~
