The environment in the garden is very comfortable
There are fountains, small bridges flowing water, and garden walking paths
It attracts many people to take pictures of the scenery
And there are many long chairs, dining tables
It is convenient for the whole family to sit down and rest and eat
There is also a small playground in the middle of the zoo
There is a small train and a Ferris wheel
It's suitable for younger children
There are many different animals in the zoo
Even the rarer elephants, owls, baboons and others
I couldn't see tigers when I went to Tennoji Zoo a few days ago
I saw two at Kyoto City Zoo🤭
It's also very close!

Japan / Kyoto / Kyoto Zoo / Japan's second oldest zoo
Kyoto City Zoo opened in 1903,
It is second only to Ueno Zoo.
Japan's 2nd oldest zoo.
Focus on "free movement" and "looking up",
There are many passages in the park to allow animals to move freely.
Visitors can watch from below,
Slowly pass leopards/lynxes/tiger... etc. from the walkway above.
⋯⋯⋯⋯
The tropical rainforest tree area in the park,
You can see the almost primitive ecology of gorillas,
It's really shocking,
It will let you see the gorilla from the movie up close🦍.
There is also an indoor area where you can observe Asian elephants bathing.
You can sit in front of the window and communicate with the elephant by making gestures.
Outdoor common living area for male and female elephants,
In addition to seeing the elephant group life style,
You can also see elephants with tusks,
Really very rare and precious.
In addition, like the giraffe and zebra areas in the savanna area,
There are also close encounters with goats, which are very interesting.
Be sure to slow down your pace and appreciate it.
⋯⋯⋯⋯
Ticket price: ¥750/adult, free/under middle school students
⋯⋯⋯⋯
Thoughtful reminder (1)
There is a small playground in the park (with a Ferris wheel)
You can enter directly without tickets.
One attraction is ¥200,
You can buy tickets by yourself from the machine next to it.

Kyoto City Zoo 🇯🇵

The Kyoto City Zoo was a charming addition to my spring vacation itinerary in Japan! 🐼 Located in the heart of Kyoto, this zoo offered a delightful escape into the animal kingdom. The entrance fee was quite affordable, around 600 yen per person, making it a budget-friendly activity for families and solo travelers alike. As I wandered through the zoo, I encountered a diverse range of animals, from adorable red pandas to majestic giraffes and playful monkeys. #KyotoCityZoo and #AnimalEncounters Nearby, attractions like the iconic Kinkaku-ji Temple and the serene Arashiyama Bamboo Grove provided additional opportunities to explore Kyoto's cultural and natural wonders. Plus, don't miss the chance to enjoy some traditional Kyoto cuisine at nearby restaurants and cafes. The Kyoto City Zoo was a delightful destination for a day of animal adventures, leaving me with fond memories of my visit to Japan's ancient capital. 🦒🎋

The place is clean and well maintained even though I went there on a weekend. Although the zoo is small, the variety of animals is quite complete. Great place to spend with kids in the heart of Kyoto. The price is affordable though for the attraction. Amazing zoo which I highly suggest going to if you are in the Kyoto area. A ten minute walk from the train station and almost parallel with the local shrine
In 2024, I want to visit more zoos and park with friends.
