3/28 The cherry blossoms at Kyoto Imperial Palace. I saw from the Kyoto Station Tourist Information Center that today's bloom at the Kyoto Imperial Palace is at seventy percent, so I chose to come here. If you have a longer stay in Kyoto and are waiting for the cherry blossoms to be in full bloom, you can check the latest information on cherry blossom spots at the Kyoto Station Tourist Information Center. You can enter from the Imadegawa gate, and there are a few weeping cherry trees that have blossomed near the nearby children's playground. Locals are here taking photos and playing with their children and pets. The cherry blossoms in the area near the Konoe Residence ruins are about seventy to eighty percent in bloom. Although it's a cloudy day, there are still quite a lot of people. The dessert shop facing the cherry trees is a great spot for enjoying the blossoms. Watching the various visitors and the different cherry trees, as well as the diverse poses for photos, is also a kind of scenery in itself. Strolling leisurely south along the forest trail on the east side of the Kyoto Imperial Palace is also very pleasant. Near the Kyoto State Guest House, you can take beautiful photos.
